My 2008 blogging goals for Blog Contest Central

This contest blog has been active for about 3 months now. The original intent for the blog was to both have the blog be my vehicle for taking part in blog contests as well serving as a means to inform my readers on what blog contests are available around the blogosphere.

In the short space of 3 months, we have seen quite a huge increase in the number of contest blogs. There are well over 20-30+ blogs in this blog contest niche. I think the time has come to differentiate this blog again with a specific specialization within the contest blog niche.

For the year 2008, the goal for this blog would be to set itself apart from the contest blog niche that has been blooming. This contest blog shall become one of the premium contest blog specializing in helping other blogs with their SEO efforts through the running of blog contests. I shall start the branding efforts of this site so as to raise the brand awareness of Blog Contest Central.

The indexes to measure the success should comprise of the following:

1. Popularity on Blog Communities
2. Popularity on SEO Communities
3. Search Engine rankings for specific terms

Hopefully, with some effort and help from the blogging community, these are achievable goals.
