December 21st, 2007 — Winnings from blog contest
I think it’s always important to show appreciation to the blog owners who runs contest, especially when you have won something from them.

Blog About Your Blog run by Matthew has always been running very interesting blog contests I have managed to win the second prize (worth $100 smakaroos) in the recent contest based on this blog contest post.

If I’m not wrong, Matthew also runs the a fellow Contest Blog site over at Contest Beat and I must say, I’m truly impressed with what Contest Beat has achieved in the past few months, climbing the technorati ladder and building a good readership via RSS.

I must say thanks to NeverBlueAds too. They have graciously sponsored the cash prizes at this great Christmas giveaway that BAYB has organized. May thanks to Never Blue Ads.
Never Blue Ads gives the website owners another avenue in which you can get some Advertising and Promotion done. Do check them out.
November 7th, 2007 — Winnings from blog contest
Comedy Central has teamed up with 2 blogs to giveaway “The Best of the Colbert Report on DVD” (launch date being the 6th Nov 2007)

Check out the contest details at Blog Critics and TV Squad for more details. As far as I know, the contest is as simple as adding your comment to the post and your in for the draw. The only caveat is that you must either be a US or Canadian Resident to take part in the contest. But hey! That’s where the Colbert Report is famous anyway right?
I do hope that Comedy Central realizes that they have fans outside of the states and open up these type of contest to the rest of us as well.
November 2nd, 2007 — Winnings from blog contest
Goodness Gracious me! I’m the winner of the Blog Makeover Contest from Weborithm . Rememeber my post about this blog makeover contest where I mentioned that I really aspire to be one of the big boys of contest blogging? Well, here’s my chance. Just received notification that I have won in this contest results post.

Now, I can’t wait to see what Weborithm can do to accessorize the copy blogger theme. Weborithm did a great job with John cow’s site. I’m sure this makeover for Blog Contest Central will be equally good. I’m thinking that maybe with this makeover, It will look different enough so that I’ll remove the bottom credit to copy blogger (since the recent Google PageRank update seem to indicate that footer credits may penalize the site).
Of course, I’ll still show some link love back to copy blogger through another post to say that the theme was based of his original theme. Oh.. I just can’t wait.
October 9th, 2007 — Blog Contest Other Prize, Winnings from blog contest
What do you know? This contestant won for The Wife and Baby some lovely hair clips from this contest post done quite a few post back. Monique from Lil’ Sugarplum has already written to me on how to claim my prize.
Looking around Lil’ Sugarplum further, I find Monique has quite a great site (not because I won the prize). 2% of all sales go towards the “March of Dimes” charity, which mainly research into saving premature babies.
It’s always great when entrepreneurs have a heart while earning their keep. Add to that, you’ll find lots of accessories for your cute little baby. For the holiday season, Monique has stocked up cute Halloween and Christmas Clips and the classical Pony tail holders are evergreens.
Well, I couldn’t have won this contest if I didn’t know about it in the first place right? A million thanks to Dawn from ABlondReviews for running the contest. A downside to winning this contest is that I would not be able to take part in the other contests anymore.
I know the rational why this rule is in place but maybe it could be tweaked a bit further to allow for contestants to re-join the contest fold after 3 months? ABlondReviews runs so many contests that has prizes I want to win for The Wife and Baby. The latest contest she is running is the “Island Baby Contest” and “ScreamFree Parenting Book”.
In the first contest, you get the chance to win stuff from Island Baby boutique, a cutesy shop that has in stock cute baby bibs and all sort of baby related stuff.
For the second contest, you get the chance to own “ScreamFree Parenting”, a book by Hal Edward Runkel that attempts to explain the behavior of children and how we as parents use that knowledge to our advantage.
As far as I know, the picking of the winner from ABlondReviews is via using some random number generation so anyone has a pretty good chance of winning. It cost you nothing (but just a little time) to get on over and take part in the contest. So why not do so today a be a winner like me and win stuff for the family?
