I’m back into the blog contest arena after my short break over in Bangkok.
During the trip, I had the opportunity to leave the Internet aside for a while and contemplate about the future of the various blogs that I run. I was also thinking of the Blog Contest Central, my blog for announcing and taking part in contest.
Though I really love the idea, the blog contests niche is really getting crowded. And the fact that a lot of the contest requires a link out means that I am not totally building a value for this contest blog.
There are many great contest blogs around that are serving the needs of contest announcements very well. Contest blogs like Contest Beat, The Prize Blog, Contest Blogger are all doing well in this particular aspects of service to the blog community.
And I do enjoy seeing that more and more contest blogs are springing out to join in the fun as well as serving the blogging (and Internet) community well with the link love that they provide.
I think it’s time for Blog Contest Central to start to differentiate itself from the rest of the contest blogs. My plan for this blog is to serve as a resource on the running of blog contests for all other blog owners.I’ll be providing information on how to run blog contest successfully and the best ways to optimize your blog contest to achieve the best benefits for your blog or web site.
Look out for the changes that are going to take place.
